A Few Words About

Diagnosis and"Mental Illness"

I question the usefulness of the language of disease or illness (words such as depression or psychosis) in describing our emotional challenges. If you have struggled with being labeled with a diagnosis, or have found such language to be confusing or counterproductive, our work may include developing more meaningful language for your experience.  I also have many years of experience working on interdisciplinary teams, am  familiar with diagnostic language and am happy to work collaboratively with your psychiatrist or primary care physician, if you wish.
